TikTok Integration and Social Media Publishing
Stoic Library uses secure integrations with social media platforms to publish educational content. This section explains how we handle data related to TikTok and other platform connections.
TikTok Login Kit
Authorized account owners can connect their TikTok accounts to Stoic Library using TikTok Login Kit. When you authenticate:
- We collect your TikTok account's basic profile information (username, public profile data)
- We store authentication tokens securely to maintain the connection
- TikTok data is never shared with third parties except as required for the integration to function
TikTok Content Posting API
Stoic Library uses TikTok's Content Posting API to upload and publish user-approved videos on behalf of authorized account owners. We handle:
- Uploaded video files (hosted temporarily during processing)
- Scheduled or queued content awaiting authorization
- Approved content published to TikTok
- Metadata associated with published videos (titles, descriptions, captions)
Media Hosting
Media files used for social media publishing may be temporarily hosted on https://media.stoic-library.com or other Stoic Library infrastructure. Where required by a social media API, a media file may be made available through a technically publicly reachable or unlisted URL so that the authorized social platform can retrieve it for publication. These URLs are not intended for general public browsing. Media is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the publishing service, troubleshoot publishing, or comply with legal obligations.
Data We Do Not Sell or Profit From
Stoic Library does not:
- Sell TikTok account data, authentication tokens, or any personal information to third parties
- Use TikTok data for advertising targeting, profiling, or behavioral analysis
- Create secondary products or services from your connected account data
- Share TikTok data beyond what is necessary to operate the publishing tools
Account Disconnection and Data Revocation
You can disconnect your TikTok account at any time from your Stoic Library account settings. Upon disconnection:
- Authentication tokens are immediately revoked and deleted
- No further access to your TikTok account is possible through Stoic Library
- Previously approved content remains on TikTok (as expected)
- Temporary media files are deleted
TikTok Platform Compliance
All use of TikTok's Login Kit and Content Posting API complies with TikTok's platform policies and developer terms.
Authorized and Scheduled Publishing
Content may be published immediately or automatically at a scheduled time selected by an authorized account owner. Stoic Library does not publish content to a connected social media account unless the account owner has authorized the connection and configured or approved the content or publishing workflow.
Other Social Media Integrations
Stoic Library provides tools that allow authorized account owners to connect and manage social media accounts through secure OAuth or similar authorization mechanisms. Supported platforms may include Facebook, Instagram, Threads, YouTube, X, Reddit, TikTok, and other supported publishing platforms.
Facebook, Instagram and Threads
When an authorized user connects a Facebook, Instagram or Threads account, Stoic Library may process information made available through Meta's APIs, including:
- Account or user identifiers
- Usernames, display names and profile information
- Facebook Pages, Instagram professional accounts or Threads accounts selected by the user
- Access tokens and granted permissions
- Media, captions, post metadata and publishing status
- Identifiers and status information for content published through the integration
This information is used only to authenticate the connected account, identify the selected Page or profile, publish or schedule content requested by the account owner, maintain the connection, retrieve publishing status, and provide related account-management functionality.
Stoic Library does not sell Meta Platform Data or use it for advertising targeting, credit decisions, surveillance, or unrelated profiling.
Google and YouTube
When an authorized user connects a Google or YouTube account, Stoic Library may access and process information permitted by the OAuth scopes granted by the user. This may include:
- Google account and YouTube channel identifiers
- Channel name and basic channel information
- OAuth access and refresh tokens
- Videos and other media selected for upload
- Titles, descriptions, captions and publishing metadata
- Upload and publication status
- Channel or content analytics where the user has authorized such access
This information is used only to connect the authorized YouTube channel, upload and publish content, schedule publication, maintain the account connection, display publishing status, and provide related publishing functionality.
Stoic Library's use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Google user data is not sold, used for advertising targeting, or transferred to unrelated third parties.
X
When an authorized user connects an X account, Stoic Library may process the user's account identifier, username and basic profile information, OAuth credentials, media selected for publishing, post text and metadata, and identifiers or status information associated with published posts.
This information is used only to authenticate the connected account and provide user-authorized publishing and scheduling functionality.
When an authorized user connects a Reddit account, Stoic Library may process the Reddit account identifier, username and basic profile information, OAuth credentials, selected communities or subreddits, submitted content and associated publishing metadata.
This information is used only to authenticate the authorized Reddit account and provide user-requested publishing or account-management functionality.
Authentication Tokens
Social media access and refresh tokens are stored securely and used only to perform actions authorized by the connected account owner. Passwords for the connected social media platforms are not collected through these integrations.
Third-Party Platforms
Social media platforms independently process information according to their own privacy policies and terms. When content is submitted for publication, the relevant platform receives the content and associated information necessary to perform the requested action.
Data Retention and Deletion
Platform data and authentication credentials are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the connected service, maintain the authorized integration, troubleshoot technical issues, or satisfy legal obligations.
A user may disconnect a social media account at any time through the application where that option is available or may request deletion of data associated with a connected account by contacting support@stoic-library.com.
Upon a valid deletion request or when the connected service is no longer required, Stoic Library will delete the relevant stored platform data and credentials without undue delay, except where retention is required by applicable law. Content already published to a social media platform may remain on that platform and must be managed through the platform itself.
Data Security
We use industry-standard encryption and security measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We encourage you to use strong passwords and protect your account credentials.
